New collaboration aims to make life better for children.
Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich announced that the Casey Family Program, a nationally-renowned child welfare organization will collaborate with Los Angeles County to help streamline and maximize efforts to improve the lives of children and families.
“The Chief Administrative Officer’s ineffectiveness blending public-private, independent multi-million dollar funding streams and initiatives to help children and families, has resulted in confusion and wasted resources,” said Antonovich. “The Casey Program, headed by former County DCFS Director David Sanders, will help the CAO establish a collaborative system of public-private agencies and blend funding creatively to enhance getting the full value of any dollar going into helping our children.”
The program’s efforts will help the County create effective public-private partnerships and address homelessness, child abuse and gang violence and improve outcomes for our County foster youth.
