Saturday plans to be a high end event with a low ticket price
[view:node_ad=5]The Santa Clarita Artists’ Association has been busy as more than 50 artists have submitted their best works of art for exhibit in the 18th Annual Art Classic, which will be held at the Art Gallery of the College of the Canyons.
The show will be open to the public for free viewing starting this Saturday, October 6th and will culminate with the Association’s gala fundraiser on October 13th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. This fundraiser brings together fine art, musical entertainment, delicious hors d’oeuvres, decadent desserts, and fabulous wine in grand style. A live and silent art auction of over 50 art works will allow every art lover the opportunity to own an original piece of art. Mayor Pro Tem, Bob Kellar will be on hand to present awards to the artists and Don Fleming of Valencia Acura will act as auctioneer and keep the evening moving in his usual entertaining style.
Tickets to the Art Classic are remarkably priced at $25. Black tie optional. For more information or to purchase tickets please visit www.santaclaritaartists.org or call (661) 618.-0939. The SCAA is a California Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation (I.R.C. §501(c)(3)), and donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Based on the works submitted, this promises to be the premier community art show with something that’s sure to delight every type of art lover. Of note are a 6 foot metal dragon sculpture, a flying fairy, over-sized abstracts perfect for large spaces and corporate offices, colorfully rendered landscapes, florals, and still lifes, contemporary collages, realistically drawn graphic pieces, flowing watercolors, and artful photographs.
