Fastframe looks for next great artist.
Fastframe, a local custom picture framing store, is hosting an Art Contest for Kids.
Randy Burzynski and Rose-Marie Longan, owners of Fastframe in Valencia, are encouraging children, ages 6 to 10, to create a piece of art based on the theme “My Favorite Place.”
Fastframes will be accepting artwork for the contest through November 14th.
The first and second place entries will be framed, with the second place winner being displayed at the Valencia store.
The first place winner will be sent to the Fastframe corporate office in Newbury Park, California, to be judged in the national contest.
The national winner will receive a $250 gift card for art supplies, with an additional $250 gift card going to his or her school.
In addition, the national winning piece will be displayed on the home page of the corporate website for the month of January in 2010.
“I am so excited to be part of the judging team for the Fastframe Kids Art Contest,” said Pat Johnson, a member of the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley and judge for the national contest. “It will be a joy to see how kids see the world and how they represent it through their art. Maybe the next Renoir or Dali is in the entries.”
