Aspiring SCV Talent Invited To Participate In Open Mic Night

Aspiring artists and entertainers are invited to participate in an upcoming Open Mic Night to be held at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center in October, event officials announced Wednesday.

Poets, dancers, comedians, actors and actresses with theatrical monologues, jugglers and other talented individuals of all ages can participate, according to the center’s website.

Performers will compete for prizes and the title of first, second or third place when the audience votes for their favorite acts at the end of the night.

The event is being held in honor of the 10-year anniversary of the center’s grand opening in 2004.

Residents interested in participating can register to perform online. The deadline is October 1.

The event is set for October 15 at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center, located at the College of the Canyons Valencia campus.
