“We’re bringing world-renowned talent to Santa Clarita,” said John Heys, one of the event’s creators and organizers. “Every year we grow a little bit more and we just keep adding to it… (With the Valencia Country Club venue) we’re able to bring some really great recording artists from the past and present.”

Tippin, slated for the Sept. 26 show, has charted more than 30 singles on the Billboard Hot Country chart.

Following the 1990 release of “You’ve Got To Stand For Something,” he was invited to entertain the troops of Desert Storm and has made several trips to Iraq and Afghanistan to sing for the troops since.

“Aaron Tippin is a legengdary county star,” Heys said. “He does a tremendous amount of things for our veterans. As a matter of fact, after 9/11 he released a song that was number one on the country charts and top 20 on the pop charts, and all the proceeds went to the American Red Cross. He donated every penny.”

Blue Oyster CultScheduled for the Sept. 27 show is Blue Oyster Cult, who released their debut album in 1972 and has sold more than 24 million albums worldwide since.

“Blue Oyster Cult is a tremendous rock band out of the seventies that are still performing and they sound great,” Heys said. “It’s one of those acts that normally would be playing at the Hollywood Bowl or places like that, and we were able to talk them into coming to Valencia.”

The current lineup also includes blues band Teresa James & The Rhythm Tramps and country artist Garth Guy.

The outdoor festival features festival-style seating and is set to offer restaurant food, wine, spirits and craft food vendors, according to their website.

Heys is expecting approximately 4,000 people total to attend the weekend shows.

General admission tickets range from $25 to $35 and can be purchased online. Two-day passes and VIP two-day passes are also available. Gates open at 5 p.m. Sept. 26 and 12 p.m. Sept. 27.
