“We have a fantastic steering committee comprised of local church members representing our Christian community,” according to the website. We have a great vision for the future of GLORY SCV yet it depends on the body of Christ and of course the will of God. Family events like this demonstrate the values of being a Christian and the love God has for us all of us as we unite together and share in celebrating His love.”

Food will also be available for purchase at the event. Officials recommend blankets and beach chairs as well as beach umbrellas. Attendees will be asked to take down their beach umbrellas at 5:30 p.m.

Alcohol, smoking and pets are strictly prohibited, according to the website. A free kid’s area with supervised fun, games and activities will be available as well as a prayer tent.

“We look forward to seeing you at this year’s event,” McKeever said. “With the support of our local churches we can grow GLORY SCV into an annual event that unifies the body of Christ and glorifies our Lord.”
