The event will take place in conjunction with Zambelli Fireworks Night, which is expected to feature NASCAR Spec Mods, Super Stocks, INEX Bandoleros and 911 Series races.
Last season’s Fireworks Night included a 100 lap contest won by New Braunfels, TX driver Kevin Thompson.
The half-mile speedway will welcome Super Late Model and Tour Late Model teams from across the West Coast to battle for up to $20,000 in posted awards.
“Teams will have their targets set squarely on Pro Late Model points leader David Mayhew,” Kern County Raceway Park officials said.
“Mayhew, the 2013 CITGO Lubricants Late Model champion, moved up into the Pro Lates this year and has gone three-for-three so far this season.”
Other regulars in the division have included 2013 Pro LM champion Tim Smith, 2013 CITGO LM Rookie of the Year Johnny White, and Dallas Montes.
The Firecracker 100 will not only pay $5,000 to win but will also pay $400 to start.
Purse payout will be based on car count, with full purses available on the race entry form.
Entries are $100 and the fee will be credited towards Friday night practice on that weekend.
Tickets for the July 5 races are $20 dollars for adults and $10 for seniors over 65 years old, kids between 6 and 15 years of age and active members of the military.
Admission for children five and under is free.
