‘Let’s Make A Deal’ To Feature Santa Clarita Contestant In February

Santa Clarita Valley local, Shirley Rivera, will be featured as a contestant on the CBS daytime game show “Let’s Make a Deal.” The game is known for crazy costumes, dud prizes called “zonks,” and is hosted by Wayne Brady.

Let’s Make a Deal,” CBS’ daytime game show, will feature Santa Clarita local, Shirley Rivera next month, said Molly O’Gara, a spokeswoman for the show.

“Let’s Make a Deal,” is known for the wacky costumes that audience members wear to try to attract the attention of show hosts and for dud prizes such as live animals and household appliances, called “zonks.”

The updated version of “Let’s Make a Deal” premiered in 2009 and airs on weekdays, hosted by actor Wayne Brady.

Contestants from the audience compete in a variety of games to win prizes and trade in their winnings for potentially bigger prizes.
