Mackenzie Hancsicsak, the 10-year-old Santa Clarita television star from NBC’s “This is Us,” Marion Van Cuyck and Sophia Garwick sat down with KHTS Monday to talk about their goals selling Girl Scout Cookies for Troop 1142.

“My this year is to sell a thousand boxes of cookies,” Hancsicsak said.
Troop 1142 plans to use the profits from cookie sales to take a trip to Seaworld.
The troop members are keeping their fingers crossed for lightning to strike twice, Hancsicsak said, after a miracle sale last year.
“Last year, someone bought three entire cases of cookies,” Hancsicsak said. “Each case has 12 boxes of cookies.”
The star of the NBC drama said the troop is a little more than halfway to their goal even without any huge sales, and have until the beginning of March to reach their goal.
But that doesn’t mean any large-scale cookie connoisseur would go without reward.
“If anyone decides to buy a total of a thousand cookies, our troop will give them our Troops teddy bear Thin Mint,” Hancsicsak said.
