The “Holiday in the Park” event, which has been successful at four other Six Flags amusement parks, will debut at Magic Mountain on Nov. 28 and run through Jan. 4, 2015.
In addition to the park’s thrill rides, guests will be able to enjoy special performances, holiday-themed treats and drinks, carolers, more than one million holiday lights and a chance to meet Santa Claus.
DC Universe will feature a spectacle-of-lights show, with contemporary holiday music set to millions of lighting variations programmed using tens of thousands of lights. It will be one of the largest programmed light shows on the West Coast, according to a Six Flags press release.
There will also be a contemporary music and dance show on the Full Throttle Stage.
“We’ve always done something (for the holidays),” said Magic Mountain spokeswoman Sue Carpenter. “This is just ramping it up–blowing it out of the water per se.”
Magic Mountain opened for daily operation on March 22 through the beginning of the school year in September.
It will open again for daily operation on Nov. 22, to kick off the holiday season.
And, for three months this spring and summer, Magic Mountain offers guests the chance to ride Batman and Colossus backwards, for a unique thrill experience.
