A 93-year-old painter is planning an art exhibit in Valencia to raise funds for a cause that is very personal to him, the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, event officials announced Saturday.
Irwin Weiner is set to display his paintings available for sale at the Sunrise Sterling Canyon Retirement Villa August 15 through 17 in honor of his wife of more than 40 years, who was recently diagnosed with early onset Alzeheimer’s, according to a news release.

“He’s an abstract artist, and his work is very powerful and emotional,” said Laurie Morgan, Weiner’s daughter. “He puts a lot of his emotions and feelings into his artwork… He uses emotional intent with every piece.”
