The survey is set to ask a series of questions about what the community would like to see in an amphitheater if one were to be built, and residents have until March 16 to complete the survey.

“The short survey encompasses seven questions, asking residents to provide their thoughts on potential programming, cultural and entertainment usage, and design and appearance for an amphitheater, should one be built in the city,” said City officials.

For many years, the City of Santa Clarita has been committed to providing art lovers with opportunities to experience art-based events, performances and programs, according to officials.

“In 2016, The Arts Master Plan and the City emphasized an interest in an amphitheater capitalizing on the nature and open space available in the Santa Clarita Valley,” said City officials. “The addition of an amphitheater would allow the city to host events in an environment that is specifically designed for their art and entertainment needs.”

The survey is part of an Amphitheater Feasibility Study being conducted by the City and consulting group AEA Consulting.

On Feb. 21, Santa Clarita residents met at The Centre, where the community had an opportunity to voice their opinions on where they feel the amphitheater would be best located.

Central Park? Or perhaps the field that is bordered by Arch Avenue in Newhall and Railroad Avenue. Bermite might work if it can be cleaned up.
