Assaults, Vehicle Burglaries Keep Deputies Busy

khts_crime_genericTwo men went to jail for assault in two separate incidents Wednesday night, according to sheriff’s officials.

Sgt. Rich Nagler said that Dealoyd Brown allegedly hit his victim in the head with a hammer. The incident took place in the 27000 block of Sierra Highway in Canyon Country. The victim suffered head injuries and was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital for treatment. Brown went to jail; information on his bail amount was unavailable.

According to reports of a second event, Bradley Harris went after his victim with a fire extinguisher during an incident in the 25000 block of The Old Road in Valencia. His victim wasn’t injured, but for his efforts, Harris is being held at the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station suspected of assault in lieu of $50,000 bail.

 

And deputies were busy Thursday morning in the Dockweiler Drive area near Bottletree Lane, where several vehicles had been broken into overnight. No further details were available.
