Santa Clarita’s Assemblyman Scott Wilk issued the following statement celebrating the Lunar New Year. The Lunar New Year occurs this Sunday February 10th and is celebrated by many around the world as a time for renewal and reflection.

“The Lunar New Year is a special time as it marks the traditional beginning of the year for our Asian communities. These communities are an essential part of the Golden State, and I join them in celebrating this joyous occasion and wish them a Happy New Year,” Wilk said.
The 38th Assembly District encompasses Simi Valley, the northern section of the San Fernando Valley and most of the Santa Clarita Valley.
