Attempted Kidnapping In Newhall

An attempted kidnapping occurred this morning in Newhall in the area of Meadowridge Drive.

A 15-year old girl was standing on Meadowridge near Newhall Avenue at approximately 6:30 a.m. when she was approached by a man in a vehicle who tried to get her in the car. The victim tried to run away, but the suspect pulled into a driveway, blocking her path. The victim then was able to kick the perpetrator and ran away.

 

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic in his 40s, with dark hair and brown eyes, 5 foot 6 inches to 5 foot 8 inches in height and weighing approximately 180 pounds.

He was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans and white leather gloves. He is driving a small white four-door vehicle with damage to the front bumpers and was last seen eastbound on Newhall Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station at 255-1121.
