Auditions For Annie Set By Cabrillo Music Theatre

annie8Auditions for Cabrillo Music Theatre’s production of “Annie” will be held on August 6-9.

Cabrillo’s Ovation Award-winner (Best Featured Actress, “Cinderella”) Sally Struthers brings her comic genius back to the Kavli stage as Miss Hannigan in this lovable classic story of a young orphan and her impossible-to-resist dog.

The show will be directed by Cabrillo’s Artistic Director, Lewis Wilkenfeld, with musical direction by Ilana Eden and choreography by Heather Castillo.

“Annie” will play October 14-23 in the Kavli Theatre at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.  Rehearsals begin September 6 for non-Equity performers, and September 19 or 26 for Equity performers.

Equity call for principal roles will be from 10:15 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, August 8, at Madilyn Clark Studios, 10852 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood.

Non-Equity appointments for principal, ensemble and children’s roles are available from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, August 6; 1-6 p.m. Sunday August 7 and 5-11 p.m. Tuesday August 9, at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest, Thousand Oaks.

All auditions and callbacks are by appointment only. Audition appointments will be taken beginning July 18. Those auditioning should bring picture and resume.  All roles are open except for Miss Hannigan, and all open roles are available to non-union performers.  Actors’ Equity contracts are available for some roles.  There is pay for all roles played by performers age 18 and up.
