Auditions for Cabrillo Music Theatre’s “The Sound of Music” will be held on April 30, May 2, and 3. Winner of 8 Tony Awards, “The Sound of Music” was the last collaboration between the legendary Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein and became one of the world’s most beloved musicals.
Directed by Cabrillo’s Artistic Director, Lewis Wilkenfeld, with musical direction by Darryl Archibald and choreography by Heather Castillo, “The Sound of Music” will play July 22-31 in the Kavli Theatre at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. Rehearsals begin June 13 for non-Equity performers, and June 27 for Equity performers.

Auditions will be held Monday, May 2 from 10:15 a.m.- 6 p.m. at Madilyn Clark Studios, 10852 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood. This is an Equity call for principal roles.
Auditions for non-Equity actors (for all roles, including children’s calls) will be from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, April 30 and from 5-11 p.m. May 3 at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest, Thousand Oaks.
All auditions and callbacks are by appointment only. Audition appointments will be taken beginning April 11. Bring picture and resume. All roles are open and available to non-union performers. Actors’ Equity contracts available for some roles. There is pay for all roles.
