America is hot for the show, according to the ratings, and Fox has given the green light for the show to return to the network’s lineup.
“It’s amazing and refreshing to see how much passion and raw talent there is from amateur home cooks across America,” said Ramsay. “It’s extraordinary the amount of energy and excitement the show brought in Season One, and I’m thrilled to be back at Fox for a second season.”
Auditions will be held tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Le Cordon Bleu, 6370 W. Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles. Intrepid cooks are asked to pre-register online at www.masterchefcasting.com, where they can download/complete the application, get instructions for the actual audition and make sure they are eligible to compete.
Those placing in the finals should clear their calendars for competition in February, March and April of 2011, with the length of commitment dependent on how well they do in the competition.
