Amanda Canfield of Newhall had a very special delivery yesterday. At 10:10 a.m. on October 10, she gave birth to Luke William Canfield at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. Weighing in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces, Luke made his way into the world at a very special date and time.

Canfield, whose due date was originally on October 12, did not at all anticipate this lucky delivery. Though when she realized just how special the birth date and time was, the excitement overtook her.

“I was really excited,” said Canfield, “we were like ‘oh that is so cool’.”

Canfield, who was told before her pregnancy that she could not bear children, considers Luke 10 times the blessing.

Though Canfield claims she has no superstitious tendencies, she says she will use her newfound luck elsewhere.

“Maybe I’ll go play the Lotto,” said Canfield.
