A 3-month-old baby girl was found unresponsive in her crib Tuesday afternoon and was declared dead upon arrival at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital.
According to Lt. Tom Bryski of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station, deputies responded to a help call from the girl’s Chestnut Street home, where one of her parents discovered that she was not breathing.
Intersections between the baby’s home and the hospital were blocked by deputies to allow uninterrupted travel of the patrol car carrying the child.
