City to host bank robbery prevention seminars for local financial workers.
With the recent addition of the new City of Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Business Alliance, the City of Santa Clarita and the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station will be holding regular training classes to help educate our local business community on crime prevention topics to assist them in their daily business operations.
[view:node_ad=5]The next such class will focus on our local banking community. All bank branch executives, operations managers and bank tellers are invited to attend the training where they will receive important information pertaining to possible crimes against banking institutions.
The two hour training session is hosted through the City of Santa Clarita’s Sheriff’s Business Relations Office and will be held in the City Hall Century Room, located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Santa Clarita on Thursday, December 13, 2007, from 10 a.m.- noon.
This crime prevention, education and awareness class will be taught by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station’s Detective Bureau – Robbery Team and a representative from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Los Angeles Office. Topics will include prevention of crime through environmental design, new technology, remaining safe during a robbery incident, and how to handle a false robbery alarm.
