Best Companies To Work For Narrowed Down

Companies evaluated on a variety of levels, what's best for employees.

Finalists and the venue for The 2009 Best Employers to Work For in the SCV Valley were announced today.


The finalists are:

  • Boston Scientific Neuromodulation
  • College of the Canyons
  • Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital
  • LBW Insurance
  • Lundgren Management
  • Six Flags Magic Mountain
  • Solid Concepts, Inc.
  • Ultra Violet Devices.

Finalists were selected based on work life balance, opportunities for employee growth, compensation and benefits, training and development and company culture. The winners will be announced at the Santa Clarita Valley Business Leadership Awards Reception on May 13 at the Hyatt Valencia.

“Our judges will have their work cut out for them” said Committee Chairman Marc Emmer. “The purpose of this competition was to showcase Santa Clarita employers, and these organizations exemplify why Santa Clarita is a great place to live and work” said Emmer.

The awards reception is sponsored by The City of Santa Clarita and Woodbury University, and is presented by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal in partnership with The SCV Chamber of Commerce and Valley Industrial Association.

The Best Employer to Work for in the SCV competition is presented by; The City of Santa Clarita, College of the Canyons, KHTS, Newleaf Training and Development, Optimize Inc., The SFV Business Journal, The Signal/SCV Business Journal, The SCV Chamber of Commerce, Valley Industrial Association,  and Wildcat Technologies.
