Event to encourage girls toward leadership and community service

The Betty Ferguson Foundation is preparing its Mother Daughter Fall Brunch, which will take place October 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Guests at the Brunch will learn about the new Youth With A Voice agenda and program for 2009-2010. Youth With A Voice seeks to “provide training in leadership and community service to girls from 5th through 12th grades.”

Girls from 5th through 12th grades and their moms are invited to RSVP by September 28 by calling 661-702-8712. The cost is $25 per mother/daughter pair.

The brunch will be held at the home of foundation founder Judy Cox at 22835 Market St. in Newhall.
