New sponsor signs on to bring music of Kander and Ebb

Confidential Data Destruction Company (CDDC), under President Steve Sturgeon, has inked a deal with The Theatre Project/SCV to be the exclusive Presenting Sponsor of the upcoming benefit engagement of The World Goes Round– The Songs of Kander & Ebb, which will electrify audiences at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons from September 20-23.

The Theatre Project/SCV, which last year scored a triumph when it presented a star-studded musical tribute to the musical genius of Stephen Schwartz, will present The World Goes Round – The Songs of Kander & Ebb, the acclaimed musical revue that pays homage to the composing team that brought the world “Chicago,” “Cabaret” and many more legendary Broadway productions.

A brand new venture, CDDC was formed to address the growing problem of identity theft, and the need of businesses to minimize the risk of criminal and civil litigation that can result from the inadvertent disclosure of confidential information such as customer credit card data, corporate financial information, employee payroll records and other sensitive data.  CDDC offers on-site document destruction, or they can pick up containers on a scheduled or on-call basis, and securely transport the material to a mobile destruction truck, where it is immediately pulverized.

Steve stated, “I firmly believe in the importance of building the local arts community in our Valley, and CDDC’s title sponsorship of The World Goes Round just seems to me a logical extension of that commitment.  It’s my hope that my example will inspire others in the business community to join the growing group of supporters dedicated to the mission of The Theatre Project/SCV.”

Steve’s wife, Julie Sturgeon, a CPA for over 20 years in Santa Clarita, revealed, “Steve and I have been passionate supporters of The Theatre Project/SCV since we first sat down over a meal with co-Producing Artistic Directors Andrea Slominski and Mark Salyer, and they shared their incredible vision of founding a regional theatre company in the Santa Clarita Valley which would give locals access to professional quality theatre at affordable prices.  We were so enthusiastic that we immediately committed our time, as Advisory Board members, and financial support, becoming Founding Members of the Company.”
