“It is a great honor to be selected as honorary chair of
Birdies for the Brave, an organization which has such a significant positive
impact on our nation’s military and their loved ones,” said McKeon.  “Six
military charities will benefit from the Birdies for the Brave event and will
be well supported with the strong backing of the PGA Tour and Heritage Golf
Group.  Birdies for the Brave is far more than just a fundraiser, it
directly impacts military families and encapsulates the hearts of Americans and
the gratitude they feel towards our military personnel.”

Since 2005, Birdies For The Brave has raised millions of
dollars for military homefront groups that directly serve military men and
women lost or seriously injured in performance of their duty, through
fundraising events at TPC clubs nationwide.

Birdies for the Brave was originally created by player Phil Mickelson and his
wife, Amy, to support troops injured during combat. For each birdie or eagle
made on the PGA Tour throughout the season, a contribution of $100 for a birdie
or $500 for an eagle is made to Homes For Our Troops and Special Operations
Warrior Foundation.

Since the program’s inception, Birdies for the Brave has
grown to include a variety of military outreach efforts, including military
celebrations held during PGA tour tournaments; letter-writing campaigns for the
troops; the distribution of care packages to troops stationed abroad; and a
series of fundraising events conducted at clubs nationwide – enabling fans,
club members, sponsors and the general public the opportunity to participate in
charity golf tournaments and other activities that directly benefit military
men and women and their families, while at the same time play the same
sensational golf courses where the world’s best golfers compete. For a complete

; Wounded Warrior Project supported by Tour player Frank Lickliter II;
Operation Homefront supported by Tour player Corey Pavin; Naval
Special Warfare Foundation supported by Tour player Jerry Kelly; and
Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund supported by Tour player Rory Sabbatini.

At the Birdies for the Brave event, participants will have
the privilege of meeting military personnel representing the charity firsthand.
The dinner following golf will include short speeches from soldiers who were
stationed in the Middle East and information about the Birdies
for the Brave. This will provide the perfect opportunity for community
involvement and to show support for the fine young men and women who selflessly
put their lives on the line every day so that all Americans may enjoy the
privileges of freedom. For registration information, call (661) 287-1880 or
