The Santa Clarita United Methodist Church is hosting a health fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on September 12 at the church facility. This free event will include a blood drive, bone marrow drive, health screenings, health information, and fun activities.
Health screenings will be offered for health issues including cholesterol, blood sugar, high blood pressure, hearing loss, and body mass index. Information on smoking cessation, acupuncture, and the bone marrow national registry will be provided.
Beginning with a worship service at 9:30 a.m., the event will also include food, music, ministry booths, a bouncer for children, and give-aways.

The blood drive will be held in memory of Brody Rennels, beloved drummer for the Canyon Theatre Guild. His family continues to be involved in the theatre.
Those considering donating should be in good health, bring a valid photo I.D., weigh at least 110 pounds, drink plenty of fluids, eat a nutritious meal, have had no tattoos within the last 12 months, and be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent).
The BloodMobile will be in the church parking lot. Walk-ins are welcome to the blood drive, but appointments are recommended. To make an appointment, click here.
