Responding to that demand, Providence Health & Services Blood Center are holding a blood drive today and tomorrow to replenish supplies at Providence medical centers in the Los Angeles Area, including Providence Holy Cross and its highly-respected trauma center.
Many of Larson’s colleagues have asked to donate blood in his name, and the public also is welcome to join this drive and give the Gift of Life.
The blood drive will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Emergency Department driveway at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, 15031 Rinaldi St.,Mission Hills. No appointments are necessary.
Blood is always in short supply during the summer months and blood banks need replenishing to ensure enough of the resource is there when accidents happen. Donors must be at least 17, in good health and at least 110 pounds.
