The heat is on as the Santa Clarita Blue Heat women’s soccer team continues its quest for world domination with a championship game against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC tonight at Cougar Stadium.

The game starts at 7 p.m.; tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth.
The Blue Heat has had an excellent season and this match is a 2011 championship game of the United Soccer League W League, the longest standing women’s league in North America.
The winner of tonight’s game advances to the National Championships in Seattle next weekend.
The Santa Clarita Blue Heat has not only shown it’s skills on the field by winning a majority of its matches this season, they have also supported their community by raising money and collecting food for the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry during some of their home games.
