Board Approves Funding For Domestic Violence Shelters

To continue providing safe, confidential locations for victims of domestic violence and their children, nearly $1.5 million has been allocated to Los Angeles County’s 23 Domestic Violence Emergency Shelter Programs, announced Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

The Antelope Valley Domestic Violence Council/Valley Oasis Shelter, (initiated by Supervisor Antonovich in 1980), the Domestic Violence Center of the Santa Clarita Valley, Haven House, Inc., the YWCA of Glendale/Glendale Domestic Violence Project, and the YWCA of San Gabriel Valley/WINGS will each receive $65,000 in funding
