Hart District holding three meetings for residents.
Three meetings have been announced by the William S. Hart District to discuss boundary adjustments in three areas which will be presented to the Hart District Governing Board for approval in September. Additionally, officials will discuss the impact of alternative proposals suggested by parents who attended the district’s first informational meeting in June.
Newhall
Parents with students at Wiley Canyon Elementary School and Rancho Pico Junior High School who live in the Calgrove/Hidden Valley area of Newhall are being invited to an informational meeting on proposed junior high and high school boundary adjustments scheduled to take effect in August 2010. The meeting is scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, in the multipurpose room at Placerita Junior High School.
Boundary adjustments are proposed to relieve overcrowding at West Ranch High School while making better use of underutilized facilities at Placerita Junior High and Hart High School. The Calgrove/Hidden Valley area was part of the Placerita/Hart attendance area before the opening of Rancho Pico and West Ranch.
Saugus – Mountainview
Parents with students at Mountainview Elementary School and Rio Norte Junior High School who live in the Mountainview attendance area are being invited to an informational meeting on proposed junior high and high school boundary adjustments scheduled to take effect in August 2010. The meeting is scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, in the multipurpose room at Arroyo Seco Junior High School.
Boundary adjustments are proposed to relieve overcrowding at Rio Norte Junior High and Valencia High School while making better use of underutilized facilities at Arroyo Seco Junior High and Saugus High School. The Mountainview area is contiguous with the existing boundaries for Arroyo Seco and Saugus.
Mint Canyon
Parents of students at Mint Canyon Elementary School and La Mesa Junior High School who live in the Sierra Highway corridor north of Soledad Canyon Road can attend an informational meeting on proposed junior high and high school boundary adjustments scheduled to take effect in August 2010. The meeting is scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, August 31, in the multipurpose room at Mint Canyon School.
Boundary adjustments are proposed to relieve projected overcrowding at La Mesa Junior High and Golden Valley High School while making better use of underutilized facilities at Sierra Vista Junior High and Canyon High School. The Mint Canyon area was part of the Sierra Vista/Canyon attendance area before the opening of Golden Valley High School.
