Bowman High was recognized as a Model School during a state ceremony earlier this month.
Jereann Bowman High School’s Principal Robin Geissler and Counselor Suzy Mansfield attended the recent California Department of Education Model Continuation High School Awards ceremony held in Oakland, California on May 7.
The awards ceremony was the exciting culminating event for the California Continuation Education Association’s annual state conference.

Bowman High School has received the prestigious award three times in the past twelve years. The process to become a Model Continuation School involves a comprehensive written application, which includes over 60 quality indicators, including student achievement data, graduation rates, and supporting statements from staff, students, parents, community members, and business stakeholders. After a rigorous screening of Bowman’s application by a panel of experts, a validation site visit by a trained, Model Continuation School Visiting Team occurred.
