The victim’s father pulled the boy from the front-loading washing machine which was filled with water. The boy’s mother had gone to the store, while his father tended to yard work. When the father realized his son was in the washing machine, he pulled the unresponsive boy from the machine and called 911.

Personnel from the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the location. When deputy personnel arrived, they found the child lying in front of the washing machine, unresponsive and not breathing. Deputies administered CPR to the child until the arrival of Fire Department personnel. The child was resuscitated and transported to a local hospital. He is currently listed in stable condition with his parents by his side.

There have been no arrests in relation to the incident, but the investigation is ongoing.
