Santa Clarita Valley’s 4th annual Leaders of Character recognition dinner took place on Saturday evening at the Valencia Hyatt.

This year’s recipients included, Bill & Cathy Kennedy, Rick & Ann Patterson and Joe & Barbara Schulman. The tribute was created as a fundraiser for the Boy Scouts of America.

The event is produced by Arif Halaby, President/CEO Total Financial Solutions, Inc.; “The scouts represent all that’s good in building the next generation of responsible leaders. All proceeds from the event impact the future lives of the young men and women of our community through the Boy Scout Service Center.”

The honorees were selected because of their devotion to family, faith and community. They exemplify the traits of the Scout Law; Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent.

Saturday’s event raised roughly $25,000 for local Boy Scouts programs.
