CREATE program the beneficiary of corporate donation.

This week the Santa Clarita Valley Boys and Girls Club was the recipient of a $30,000 donation from Southern California Edison.

In a letter to the local non-profit, Edison officials praised the “CREATE Tomorrows Leaders” program, which provides college preparatory programs to at-risk adolescents in underserved areas of Santa Clarita.

“I would like to take this opportunity to commend the staff, Board of Directors, and the program partners associated with CREATE Tomorrows Leaders for their outstanding work and commitment to students, whom otherwise would not have the educational assistant, guidance or support needed to pursue their dreams of a higher education,” wrote Edison Public Affairs Manager Anna Frutos-Sanchez.
