The collision was reported at 3:20 p.m. between two vehicles, one is believed to be a paramedic, said Lt. Rob Hahnlein, of the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.

The collision occurred on McBean Parkway and Decoro Drive.

“Our deputies are on scene investigating a vehicle versus a Los Angeles County Fire Department vehicle,” said Josh Dubin of the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.

UPDATE: 4:32 P.M.

“Three people in the civilian car had minor injuries but refused to be transported or be treated,” said Stephanie English, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “It’s one reason that we always tell people to pull to the right. I’m not sure what exactly happened but this is one of those times where it is a good time to remind people if they see a first responder to pull to the right.”

This is a breaking news story and more information will be released as it becomes available.
