Deputies with the Santa Clartia Valley Sheriff’s Station are responding to a report of a dead body in the 22400 block of Shadeland Drive in Newhall.

A woman was found deceased in a vehicle, said Sgt. Brian Allen of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The woman was pronounced dead on scene, said Allen.

Robert Hadnot, who lives on Shadeland Drive, said he saw the car when he was leaving for work at 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

Residents of the neighborhood do not recognize the car.

The incident was reported at approximately 4:43 p.m.

Homicide detectives and coroner’s officials are en route as of 6:00 p.m.
