There is a report of a fire on Sierra Hwy. at the 14 freeway, according to Fire Department officials.

As of 5 p.m. the ‪#‎sierrafire‬ is 80% contained, crews are currently mopping up, according to Fire Department officials.

Fire was approximately 5 acres.

As of 4:45 p.m. the one structure previously threatened is no longer threatened. Fire is now 3-4 acres. All lanes of the northbound 5, both truck and vehicle lanes are now closed starting from where the 5 and 14 meet, according to Fire Department officials.

As of 4:30 p.m. the fire is now 3-5 acres and one structure is threatened.

The ‪#‎sierrafire‬ is rolling uphill, 115 firefighters have been dispatched as well as 4 helicopters, according to Fire Department officials.

As of 4 p.m. the ‪#‎sierrafire‬ is about 2 acres.

Initial reports from emergency responders on scene say the 14 Freeway truck route and Sierra Highway at Balboa are being shut down.
