As of 6:50 p.m.: Calgrove Fire per incident commander fire is now at 200 acres. 450 firefighters continue to work with air resources. According to Stephanie English Comm. Services Rep, the fire is 25% contained.
As of 5:50 p.m.: Los Angeles County Fire Department Deputy Chief John Tripp and Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Captain Roosevelt Johnson held a press conference.
“We’ve had a report of one structure that was damaged during the firefight. Again, the fire is still spreading so we have fire engines and firefighting personnel out at the head of the fire protecting those structures and defending them,” Tripp said.
Pierce College in Woodland Hills is also taking in livestock who have been displaced by the fire, according to the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control Twitter.

As of 4:10 p.m.: The Calgrove Fire is at 100 acres, emergency responders are reporting a 20% containment, however has not been confirmed.
As of 3:30 p.m.: The Calgrove Fire is at 85 acres, 0% contained. There are two mobile home parks that were ordered evacuated. 2.5 miles of The Old Road, a County Roadway is closed.
Traffic back up on the NB 5 is for miles south of the 14 Freeway interchange. ICP set up at Church of the Nazarene, 23857 The Old Road.
Two fire fighters with minor injuries were taken to the hospital, according to fire officials.
Evacuating everything south of Calgrove, according to SCVTV.
As of 2:55 p.m.: Fire is officially 85 acres.
Metrolink is not being affected as of yet.
As of 2:24 p.m.: There is a 45 acre or more brush fire on the Northbound I-5 Freeway near Calgrove Blvd that is moving uphill.
The flames are visible from multiple areas in Santa Clarita Valley, including KHTS AM-1220’s building in Downtown Newhall.
Officials have said that the fire “is moving quick.”
Two mobile home parks at the 23500 block on the Old Rd is currently being evacuated, according to Stephanie English, community service liaison.

We have a report the fire has jumped the freeway and is now on both sides.
The I-5 has two lanes open traveling north and one open traveling south.
The Old Road is closed in both directions at the 5 freeway.
