Los Angeles County firefighters are responding to a brush fire near the 14 freeway and Sierra Highway.

100 percent containment, 16 acres.
UPDATE 6:30:
Fire officials report 75 containment with no open flame.
UPDATE 5:52 p.m.:
Forward progress of the fire has been knocked down; 10 to 15 acres. Hose lines around 75 percent of the fire.

The fire now measures about 10 acres, officials said.
CHP officials are looking to implement a hard closure for the two right lanes on the southbound SR-144 freeway from Los Pinetos Road to and Sierra Highway for about two to three hours, according to officials.
The fire was reported at 4:40 p.m. and is currently at about a half acre, officials said.
Fire officials say that the fire is burning slow.
No containment has been reported, no structures are threatened, officials said.
