Fire officials received the call around 11:37 a.m. and arrived on the scene of a house fire near Bouquet Canyon Road and Shadow Valley Lane around 11:51 a.m., officials said.
LACoFD “Structure Attack” and “Brush Response” teams responded to a “fully involved” house fire with about 500 feet of brush fire surrounding the home, according to LACoFD Captain Keith Mora.
“The fire then spread from the mobile to the vehicles and brush around,” said Deputy Chief LACoFD John Tripp. “We haven’t evacuated. There was no need to do any evacuations since fire was isolated.”
Firefighters had knocked down the blaze as of Monday around 1 p.m., officials said. Firefighters worked to prevent the fire from reaching structures in the mobile home park and a church nearby.
“We are working with Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station to make sure that if we need to evacuate, we are in a unified command with them,” Tripp said. “They were set up to evacuate if we needed them to. We are still trying to track down the owner and the occupants of the mobile home.”
The cause of the fire has not been determined, Tripp said. No injuries have been reported.
As of 2 p.m., firefighters are still on scene in the mop-up phase, said Inspector Randall Wright with the LACoFD. Cause investigators and and Building & Safety officials have been called to the scene.
The fire was knocked down as of 1:06 p.m. but firefighters are continuing to work on small spot fires in the area, Wright said.
