Los Angeles County Fire Department officials confirmed Tuesday morning that they had responded to reports of light smoke showing from a two-story apartment structure in Newhall.

UPDATE 11:10 a.m. — Although it was initially reported that there were no injuries due to the structure fire on Wiley Canyon Road, an individual has now been transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, according to Vanessa Lozano, a spokesperson with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“One person was transported with burns,” Lozano said.
KHTS is at the scene of an apartment fire on Wiley Canyon Road.

UPDATE 10:52 a.m. — Knockdown on the Wiley Canyon structure fire was announced at 10:35 a.m., according to LACoFD officials.
The “small contents” fire was reported at the Alternative Home Health Care assisted living facility located near the intersection of Orchard Village and Wiley Canyon Roads.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still unknown as of 10:50 a.m. Tuesday.
ORIGINAL STORY: Reported on the 23500 block of Wiley Canyon Road on Tuesday, units that were first on scene began reporting “light smoke showing from the front” due to a “small contents fire,” according to LACoFD officials.

The call came in at approximately 10:30 a.m.
