Update: Detectives Respond To Body Behind Santa Clarita Apartments

Homicide Bureau detectives are responding to reports of a body found behind the Oak Tree Apartment Complex in Saugus.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies were called out the apartment complex on Oak Ridge Drive at 4:06 p.m., said Sgt. Cortland Myers. Homicide detectives are en route.

Update 6:59 p.m.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives and Los Angeles County Department of Coroner officials have arrived on scene.

Update 8:23 p.m.

“We were sent out here in regards to a male who was found out in the bushes here,” said Sgt. Steve Rubino with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau. “We were just doing a death investigation. Right now, it appears to be a suicide of a male adult. Right now, we’re trying to determine the identity.”
