As more details on the Las Vegas shooting continue to emerge, at least six off-duty first responders from Los Angeles County were believed to have been shot by the gunman on Sunday.

Three Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were struck by gunfire and sustained non-life threatening injuries in the incident, according to LACoFD officials.
The names of the victims were not being released Monday due to privacy concerns.
Approximately 15 Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department personnel were in attendance at the concert, with three believed to be injured, according to Sheriff’s Station officials.
One of these victims was in critical condition Monday, with the status of the other two victims unknown.
Andrew Dahring, former staff at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and current personnel at the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor’s office, was among those injured, according to LASD officials.

I work for the County of Los Angeles. The San Bernardino Shooting was very close to home. I have taken Active Shooter Classes, but I would like to know what makes a person do something like this, and how do they get away with lugging all those guns/ammo into their room?
