Despite initial reports that a person may have become impaled on a stake at the park, emergency officials discovered the victim “bumped his head” and sustained a minor cut upon arrival, said Sgt Allen of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Allen described the stake involved in the incident as a small stick used to set boundaries in construction sites.

Los Angeles County Fire Department officials did not transport the victim to a local hospital.

No additional information is available at this time.
