Deputies with the Parks Bureau received a report around 6:07 p.m., according to Sheriff’s Station officials.

A man and a woman went hiking on a trail, got turned around and couldn’t find their way back after it got dark, according to a Parks Bureau information officer.

The two lost hikers have been able to contact deputies with their cellphones, and neither is injured.

A helicopter is on scene and assisting in the recovery, which is expected soon, the official said.
