Homicide Detectives Declare Death Of The Man Who Jumped Off Of Via Princessa Bridge As A Suicide

Homicide detectives have determined the cause of death for the man who jumped off of the Via Princessa bridge in Canyon Country Sunday morning as a suicide, officials said Sunday night.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., the man was observed by a passenger hanging over the side of the bridge, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Detective Louis Aguilera.

The passenger had the intent to talk to the man to help him, however the man jumped without saying a word, said Aguilera.

Santa Clarita Sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene at approximately 10:33 a.m., said Lt. Tom Bryski with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
