The unidentified victim, described only as a male adult, appeared to have “fairly minor” injuries after the apparent attempted suicide, including facial injuries and a possibly broken nose and arm, said Sgt. Michael Konecny of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“He’s going to be just fine, it appears,” Konecny said.

The man was reportedly seen walking along the right shoulder with traffic, pacing back and forth as he looked down onto the street, at 8:48 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol officials.

Emergency personnel responded to a report of a person “threatening to jump” off the freeway bridge at 8:55 a.m., and Los Angeles County Fire Department officials arrived at the scene at 8:59 a.m., said Humberto Agurcia, public information officer for LACoFD.

One patient was transported to a local trauma center at 9:11 a.m., Agurcia said.

No additional information is available at this time.

  1. another mentally disturbed person

  2. I pray he has family or friends who can reach out to him and help his body and his heart recover.

  3. There has been so much of this going on in Santa Clarita and all over this country. We need some changes in our government to help get government out of the way and create jobs for people! I don’t know what this particular man’s issues were but I know of so many people who are desperate to work and are concerned about security and our country. I hope people wake up and pick anyone other than Hillary or Bernie because Obama and company are destroying our country and by company I mean liberal RINO Repubs too!
