Bringing Art To The Masses

brartownersTucked neatly in a small shopping center on Sierra Highway is an art gallery that has been serving the Santa Clarita Valley for 27 years.

If you add the years the previous owner ran it, B&R Art Gallery has been providing everything art for more than 35 years.

The shop started out selling art supplies, teaching art classes, and building custom frames, but has evolved into a international gallery, showcasing and selling art from all over the world.

Dave Joseph, owner of B&R Art Gallery, explained that one piece recently sold to a buyer in Russia, but says they frequently sell pieces to England, France and even the Getty Museum here in Los Angeles.

In addition to showcasing and selling art, B&R also does oil painting restorations and damaged photo restoration. They also have the ability to take a digital photo and manipulate the photo to make it look like it was painted on a canvas.

Joseph runs the gallery with his wife Barbra, whom he refers to as “The Boss,” and Will Portillo the designer and fabricator of all of their custom frames.
