Broken Hydrant Produces Show For Motorists

A motorist caused a bit of a mess Wednesday morning when they struck a fire hydrant on Valley Center Drive.

The incident sent a 60-100 foot geyser of water into the air.  The tower of water could be seen over the buildings in the area.

Santa Clarita Water Division sent workers to the scene to shut off the water.

Valley Center Drive is the connecting road between Soledad Canyon Road and Golden Valley Road, near the Cross Valley Connector.
