The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce has moved into a new home and the business community is invited to celebrate its “housewarming” on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
The event provides a chance to see the new headquarters and will feature a special drawing for a seven-day Caribbean or Mexico cruise with Princess Cruises. Only 100 tickets are being sold for $100 each. See Nicole Swanson at the Chamber to purchase tickets, nswanson@scvchamber.com).
In conjunction with this special housewarming, the Chamber is also asking members to help meet some important needs to help the Chamber makes its new home just right. Specifically, the Chamber needs more current software and computer equipment as well as office furniture. With everyone feeling the pinch of the recent challenging economic times, the Chamber is no different. These items are vital as the Chamber strives to uphold its standards of professional service and fulfill their mission of promoting business in the SCV through leadership, advocacy and member services.
The business community is invited to join Chamber staff at the new headquarters at 27451 Tourney Road, No. 160, in Santa Clarita and help any way they can. Whatever assistance can be provided – whether it’s buying a ticket for the cruise drawing opportunity or making a cash donation or in some other way helping to upgrade the Chamber’s furniture, computers and software, the help will mean a great deal to the Chamber and its staff.
